Our Global Scholarships for 2025

We have over 700 scholarships available for International and EU Students looking to study at Newcastle University

Applications are open for our prestigious scholarships schemes for 2025 entry.

We understand that financing your studies plays a key role in deciding where to study. Successful international and EU applicants can receive up to £7,000 or full tuition fee coverage. 

We're committed to attracting talented, well-rounded individuals from all over the world. This funding highlights our dedication and continued commitment.

Through these scholarships, we aim to:

The scholarship schemes have been running for six years. In that time, we've supported hundreds of international students fulfil their educational ambitions.

Undergraduate scholarships

Vice-Chancellor's Global Scholarships

Award amount: £4,000 tuition fee awards 

Application process: Apply via the online form 

Scholarship deadline: 3rd April 2025 

Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships

Award amount: £6,000 tuition fee awards 

Application process: Automatically considered for a scholarship once you have applied for a course 

Scholarship deadlineAwards may be allocated early in the application cycle; early course applications are therefore encouraged  

Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

Award amount: Up to 50%tuition fee scholarships 

Application process: Appy via the online form 

Scholarship deadline: 27th February 2025 and 3rd April 2025 

Vice-Chancellor’s EU Scholarships

Award amount: 15% of the international fee 

Application process: Automatically considered for a scholarship once you have applied for a course 

Scholarship deadlineAwards may be allocated early in the application cycle; early course applications are therefore encouraged 


Postgraduate scholarships

Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships

Award amount: £4,000 tuition fee awards 

Application process: Applications must be submitted via our Apply to Newcastle Portal under the ‘scholarship applications’ section.  

Scholarship deadline: 29th May 2025 

Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarships

Award amount: £7,000 tuition fee awards 

Application process: Automatically considered for a scholarship once you have applied for a course 

Scholarship deadline: Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle; early course applications are therefore encouraged 

Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships

Award amount: Up to 50% or 100% of tuition fees 

Application process: Applications must be submitted via our Apply to Newcastle Portal under the ‘scholarship applications’ section.  

Scholarship deadline: 27th February 2025 and 29th May 2025 

Vice-Chancellor’s EU Scholarships

Award amount: 15% of the international fee 

Application process: Eligible candidates will be considered automatically for a Vice-Chancellor’s EU Scholarship award as part of their academic course application

Scholarship deadline: Awards will be allocated automatically throughout the 2024/25 academic year for 2025/26 entry to Newcastle University.

Vice-Chancellor’s EU Research Scholarships

Award amount: 15% of the international fee 

Application process: Eligible candidates will be considered automatically for a Vice-Chancellor’s EU Research Scholarship award as part of their academic course application

Scholarship deadline: Awards will be allocated automatically throughout the 2024/25 academic year for 2025/26 entry to Newcastle University.
